Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford as she is most commonly referred to, was an American-born British guitarist and singer who led the women-only hard rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. The band was not able to make a significant impact in the United States but earned huge popular internationally, especially in Japan. Ford started a metal solo career following the band's broke up in 1979. Her debut solo album was called 'Dancin' on the Edge, followed by her Album Out for Blood. Ford was absent from the scene for some time after both albums failed to be a huge success. The hit album "Lita" was launched by Ford in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both quickly became huge hit. However, her fame was short-lived, and she disappeared for a couple of years.
