Annie Mist Thorisdottir is from Iceland's Reykjavik. She is an Icelandic CrossFit pro-athlete. The owner is of Crossfit Reykjavik and runs it also. Annie is the first woman to be crowned the winner of at the CrossFit Games twice. Annie was second at the 2010 and 2014 CrossFit Games. Annie Thorisdottir is an Icelanders weightlifter CrossFit champion, and a popular media figure. Her fame has been built on being the first woman who has ever won the two CrossFit Games: in 2011 as well as 2012. Her other achievements include securing Dubai Fitness Championships in 2013, 2017 and 2013. Annie was born and brought up in Reykjavik Iceland along with her parents as well as her siblings. She enjoyed playing sports and worked out from an early age. Her first competition was CrossFit in California in 2009. The performance she showed was impressive in her initial games. That same year, with Jami's guidance, she took home the silver medal at the CrossFit Games. Because of her impressive performance, she managed to win her first CrossFit Games title and become the first female CrossFit Games winner. Annie's outstanding performance in 2012 led her to a second CrossFit Games victory. This was the second time she was able to win consecutively. In 2014, she won a gold medal. Then in 2021 she took home the bronze medal. Annie is currently a coach and trainer at Crossfit Reykjavik. This gym was started by Annie. Annie's growing popularity as an athlete has led her to become the face of many sporting brands, such as Reebok Rogue Fitness Transparent Labs Rennaisance Periodization Nuunhydration-Sidekick Yerb. A few thousand people subscribe to her self-titled Youtube channel where videos of training along with travel vlogs, family and training videos are posted.
